A Weight Lifted Off My Shoulders (Ode to Stress)

I FOUND MY IDEAAAAA!!!!!

I was so stressed about finding an interesting idea that I can successfully execute for this project.

Will I pull it off? Only time will tell.

My story for my film will center around a young immigrant who moved from Brasil to Canada to America. She has no idea which culture to identify with and spends most of her days confused about her identity. She deals with extreme bullying in her very close-minded, discriminatory school when she ends up in a fight with some kids. She lives with the constant judgement of a new culture that completely rejects her.

The important life themes are about self-identity, stereotyping, exclusion, and culture.

Question of the day:

Do nationalities and culture divide us more than unite?

I am investigating the definitions, outcomes, effects, and etc. of bullying in order to accurately portray such a sensitive and important topic.
